Dr. Marilyn Chotem specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, addictions, attachment and relationship problems, child and family issues, general adolescent and adult mental health. Her theoretical framework is primarily psychodynamic, although she draws on techniques from other modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy, Gestalt therapy, dream analysis, body/energy awareness, relaxation techniques, motivational therapy and twelve-step concepts for addictions & behavioral concerns. Dr. Chotem has been in private practice in North Vancouver since 1992.
